When most artists start there’s a certain amount of self-consciousness present, whether its dropping their vocal to the back of the mix, or a case of not wanting to play all their cards too soon.
New Zealand’s Miloux puts her best foot forward, stripping back layers that hide her true identity, and letting her vocal simply do the talking. Her jazz trained voice shines through from the get go, opening EP1 with ‘Pockets,’ a pop-palatable track unafraid to test chord progressions and not stick to the basic scale train. Waltzing through the rest of the record we dare say we’re ready for EP2.
