Tripped out Trans-Tasmanians King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have been earning spins in all the right places lately. Cuts from their upcoming album Nonagon Infinity have been picked up by Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show, and even Iggy Pop handed a nod on his 6Music show.
Gizzard and co have just dropped two tracks off the upcoming album; ‘Gamma Knife’ combines psychedelic art pop guitar angles with flourishes of fuzzed-out bluegrass harp and flutes, accompanied by a video that looks like The Wiggles got blazed and landed in medieval times. ‘People-Vultures’ rips the shit out of layered guitar riffs in a blast of 70’s noise punk.
Nonagon Infinity’s nine songs boast the world’s first ‘infinitely looping’ LP, with each track seamlessly flowing into the next, and the final song linking straight back round to the top of the opener.
