A new EP has been brewing in Bailey Wiley’s blood for sometime, with seeds planted in Berlin and further grown at home in Auckland, S.O.M.M., aka Still On My Mind is the sound of an artist experimenting with the boundaries of neo-soul.
Featuring our favourite cuts from the record, ‘Take It From Me’ and ‘The 101,’ S.O.M.M. is eight tracks from an artist in every sense of the word. Combining the neo-soul/hip-hop sound which has gained Bailey a huge following with more experimental electronic sounds. Not only does Bailey impress on tape, but live performance comes at no-second-place; blowing minds at recent shows with UK grime heavyweight DDoubleE, Loop’s new talent showcases, and what we hope to be a more extensive national tour in the coming six months.
The new EP features a dream team of producers, and what we sniff to be some loyal beat-making from Eno (Eno x Dirty), one of our favourite NZ producers in the ring. Enjoy the fresh 8-cut delivery below, and add your pick to Spotify playlists.
